Marblehead Little Theater

MLT Movies

Movies at Marblehead Little Theatre on School Street are now heated and air-conditioned by a modern HVAC system. Also take note of the opening opposite the bathrooms that will soon house an elevator to the second and third floors.

Gaps in the movie schedule indicate live performances in the theatre produced by MLT or other area organizations. We hope you will come to Marblehead Little Theatre and support community theatre at its finest!

Movies will resume at Marblehead Little Theatre on Friday January 9, 2009.

Casablanca

The month of January will feature four wonderful classics starting with “Casablanca”. Featuring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, this Academy Award winning film is set in the Moroccan city that served as an escape route from Nazi Europe. The film has a star-studded cast and is an all-time favorite.

The Third Man

Friday the 16th join us for “The Third Man” the post WW II British classic featuring Orson Welles, Joseph Cotton, Valli and Trevor Howard. This film was voted the #1 British Film of the 20th Century. It is a thriller filmed in the spy-infested, shattered city of Vienna. Remember the theme song?

Easy Rider

Friday January 23rd the 1969 American road movie “Easy Rider” will take us on an uneasy ride through the turbulent ‘60’s. Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper and Jack Nicholson “captured the national imagination” when this film came out.

E.T.

The final Friday Film in January is the 1982 science fiction masterpiece directed by Steven Spielberg “E.T.” If you missed it or your kids have not seen it on a big screen, come on down to School Street.

February's theme is appropriately "crank up the heat." The four Friday hot films are: 2/6 “The 7-year itch”; 2/13 “Body Heat”; 2/20 “Holes”; and 2/27 “Rainmaker”.

Single movie tickets continue to be $5 at the door. We offer an unrestricted and transferable "10 Pass" that can be purchased for $40. It never expires! The multiple use ticket ("10 Pass") is transferable and can also be used for multiple entries for one film – i.e. if you bring 9 family or friends with you the total cost will be $40. Seating is first come, first seated. Doors open at 6:30 and films start promptly at 7:00 pm. We encourage you to stop by the Atomic Cafe - right next door - for a beverage you can bring to the Firehouse.
